Unique joint venture partnership
In December 2013, Select Medical announced a partnership with Cedars-Sinai and UCLA Health to create the California Rehabilitation Institute. Our rehabilitation hospital serves a growing need in the community for inpatient rehabilitation and also serves as a center for treating complex rehabilitation cases from across the nation.
Select Medical, a leading provider of long-term acute care and rehabilitation, is based in Pennsylvania. It operates hospitals and outpatient locations in 44 states including the renowned Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation in New Jersey. Select Medical also partners with a number of academic medical centers such as Baylor Health System, Cleveland Clinic, Emory Healthcare and Penn State Hershey Medical Center, among others, to manage and operate rehabilitation hospitals.

Welcome to California Rehabilitation Institute, a 138-bed inpatient medical rehabilitation hospital. Here you will find important information about the rehabilitation experience at California Rehabilitation Institute. Our nonprofit, the California Rehabilitation Foundation, was formed with the purpose of providing financial assistance through charitable means and to support education, research and innovative technologies to improve the overall quality of life of those with physical medicine and rehabilitation needs.
