Executive Director, California Rehabilitation Foundation

Maneshka Cohen, MS, OTR/L

Maneshka Cohen is the Executive Director of the California Rehabilitation Foundation. In this role since 2021, Maneshka leads the development and operations of the Cal Rehab Foundation, including supporting and cultivating philanthropic efforts, community relationships, research and other innovations that improve the care of the patients served.

Prior to this role, Maneshka served as the regional director of education for Select Medical’s western region. She previously worked at Cal Rehab in a variety of roles including assisting with hospital startup in addition to her clinical role as an occupational therapist before being promoted to lead education coordinator. Maneshka has also been very active with local community organizations and has led fund raising initiatives with Cal Rehab’s community partners throughout her tenure with both Select Medical and Cal Rehab.

Maneshka earned a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from California State University, Northridge and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Columbia University, Vagelos College of Physicians And Surgeons. During her time in New York City, Maneshka developed specific training, expertise, and passion for the field of spinal cord injury rehabilitation at both Mt. Sinai Medical Center and NYU Langone Health, poignant experiences that have propelled her to continually serve the unique needs of those requiring rehabilitation.
